Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 GMC Savana Van

Hey, everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One trailer wiring harness here on a 2017 GMC Savana van. So here's what our trailer wiring harness looks like installed, the only thing we're actually gonna be able to see outside the vehicle here is the trailer connector. We have it conveniently attached to the safety chain loops on our trailer hitch, super easy to take off when we need to use it, and it's also equally easy to restore it when it's not in use. So a trailer wiring harness is gonna be one of the few required components you're gonna need to tow your trailer with your van here. So we're obviously gonna need the trailer hitch, but we're also gonna need a trailer wiring harness. And this job is essentially to take the tail light functions from the van here and transfer those over to the trailer, so we can let other motorists out in the road know what signals we're gonna be making, allowing us to come to our destination, safe and sound. more

We can close up the doors since the weather stripping is thick enough that it won't damage our wires. Now, I'll go ahead an open up that rear hatch of our vehicle to start our installation. First thing we're going to do is locate our wiring adapter from the factory. If you look at the T-connector on the Curt, it's going to have the same style connector. more
